Vitamin K2 Vida is obtained from bacteria in a fermentation process and contains no chemicals or solvent residues. It consists of over 99% menachinone-7 (MK-7) in the trans structure and is therefore all-trans.

    Vitamin K helps maintain healthy bones and contributes to normal blood clotting.

     

    Vitamin K2, also known as menaquinone, is a vital, fat-soluble vitamin which can be produced in a healthy body by bacteria of the intestinal flora. About half of the body's vitamin K2 requirement is produced in this way. However, only a healthy microbiome of intestinal flora can achieve this percentage. For the other half of its vitamin K2 requirements, the body depends on a sufficient supply in the food we consume. The best sources are cheeses made from the raw milk of grass-fed cows or fermented vegetable foods such as sauerkraut or natto.

     

    Supplementation with vitamin K is of particular interest to people with digestive issues or a compromised gut microbiome, those who rarely eat green vegetables, anyone who is concerned about the condition of their bones, and older people as K2 production decreases with age.

  • Why K2 Vida?

    Vitamin K2 should always be taken in conjunction with vitamin D3, as the two substances work together and promote bone formation.
